Well, we made it to the foreign nation of Florida. Hemi..my car.. made it in great shape. Never once complaining, even when I once hit 65 mph. If you're coming down for any races this month there is some construction to watch for. As traffic builds up in February it could get worse. The first area is around Brunswick Georgia, this should not be too bad. The area around the northside of Jacksonville Florida and downtown near were I-10 leaves I-95 could be a problem. A long stretch between St Augustine and Daytona shouldn't be a problem untill NASCAR starts racing. There is no road work at Orlando, but be prepaired to stop...at ANY hour of the day or night!
My first night of sleeping in Hemi as OK. Thanks to a nice rest area between Orlanda and Tampa. And a special thanks to Butch Cole for cutting out the back seat and making a bed for me.
I think I may have a room at Tampa, thanks to a very kind Roger Bathe who owns LuvRacin and the Days Inn North folks at Tampa.
Wednesday night is supposed to be practice at East Bay Raceway. But it looks like rain for today. Hope it clears before Thursday first night of racing, which will be 360 sprints and Mini sprints.
I will be sending in daily info and photos to www.luvracin.com on the SPECIAL EVENTS page. If you want a special photo and anyway I can help you out email me at firstname.lastname@example.org
I want you to feel like you are here with me and we're both having a great time.
