The drivers and fans were all ready to race this past Saturday, but Mother Nature would not cooperate and the racing program was cancelled. The massive amount of rainfall left the track surface a muddy mess and nearly made a pond out of the infield. The racing program has been rescheduled for this Saturday, April 12th, and there is going to be some great racing in every division.

John Ledwell appears to be a favored winner in the bomber four division and will be on hand Saturday night. Grant Hill looked to be the fastest car at practice in the bomber six division, but the ďlegendsĒ of Kirk Way, Justin Hearst, and Adam Hill should give him some stiff competition. It should be a great battle for the top spot between these four drivers along with several others.

The mini stock division should show some impressive racing between Jody Truett, who won nearly every race he competed in last season, and track champion Cody McAllister. These two are expected to put on a great show and several other divers will try to get into the mix, too. This should be an interesting race to see.

The street stock division could go to anybody. Mark Bartlette and his newly fabricated body will be a front runner. Adam Hill, who had several strong finishes and a few wins last season, will be another front runner. Matt Holland and Cody Truett will also be contenders for the top spot. This race could go to anybody.

The young guns will be a tight battle between a few of the youngsters for the top spot and several others will be contenders with a little practice. Kiri Way is by far the fastest of the youngsters is will be tough to beat early on. But, as the season progresses, she will have many others battling her for the top spot.

The ridge runner division is another race that could go to anybody. Brian Welch, who won many races this past season, is expected to be up front, but he will have to hold of the 007 driven by Jody Truett and Christina Burns if he wants to take home the trophy. These three and several others will all battle for the top spot. This division will be one to watch.

The ladies will put on quite a show as they try and prove to their male counterparts that ladies can race too. Dana Hill, with her pretty in pink ford, will be a front runner and Melinda Horne will try and prove she can win without being too aggressive. Lynn Horne will also be in hot pursuit of these two ladies along with several others. This will be an interesting race to watch.

The crates havenít really taken off at Sumter yet. Only a few names have been mentioned to be competing in the division. Banjo Duke is expected to be a front runner but he will have to hold off Randy Hill to take home the trophy. The battle between these two and other drivers that decide to race Sumter will make for a great race.

The scheduled first race didnít happen due to rain. Everyone is even more excited and anxious to get on the track for the first time this season.
