AMS Set for Upstate 100 Georgia Asphalt Series Return

Anderson After rain forced a break in the action last weekend, Anderson Motor Speedway returns to action this Friday night featuring the Upstate 100 presented by RS Trucking and Thomas Concrete.  The Upstate 100 will mark the first trip of the Georgia Asphalt Series (GAS) to the Palmetto state this season featuring the 100 lap Pro Late Model event.  The Upstate 100 will feature top drivers from across the Carolinas and Georgia, as well as, homegrown drivers Ralph Carnes, Randy Porter, Justin Ashley and Tom Stokes.  In addition to the local entries, series competitors, Fredrick Moore 2 time GAS Champion; Russell Fleeman 2007 GAS Champion; Ronnie Sanders; Paul Kelley; Jimmy Garmon and many others.   In addition to the 100 lap GAS event, the race card will feature Anderson Motor Speedway local divisions - Legends, Mini Stocks, BM Modifieds and Renegades.          

Grandstand adult admission for the April 11th event is $15 and FREE for kids under the age of 12.  GAS Qualifying is scheduled for 7:00 and the green flag is scheduled to drop at 8PM.     Anderson Motor Speedway is located off Interstate 85 at Exit 27, north on Highway 81 1.5 miles.

AMS Jr Fan Club (JFC) members will be invited to take part in an on-track Autograph Session with the GAS drivers.  The JFC Activity of the week is puppet-making and free face-painting is offered to kids 12 and under.
