J R Guy drives the #27 Sportsman Class car.  His home track is Virginia Motor Speedway but he can also be found racing at Clary's Speedway and Potomac Speedway.  He lives in MD.

J R started racing in 2002 in the Street Stock Class at Potomac Speedway because his oldest daughter talked him into it.  His first win was in '04 in the Street Stock Class at Potomac Speedway.  Career highlights include 2 wins at Potomac Speedway - 1 in Street Stock and 1 in Sportsman and finding out that his Sportsman car was a Mark Martin LMSC car he raced at Martinsville Speedway!!

The thrill of racing for J R is going 100 mph into a turn on Dirt.....hell Yea!!!  His most exciting racing moment was probably racing a bullit chassis car for the first time.  He's most proud of being competitive and trying to race clean.

J R's racing heroes are Dale Earnhardt Sr. and Mark Martin.
