Robert Barnett drives the #812 Sport Mod Class car.  His home track is Abilene Speedway but he can also be found racing at Ladyluck Speedway.  He lives in Sweetwater, TX.

Team members helping Robert are:  Dad, T K Thompson, Whitney Ashfold, Joe McCormick, Big John's Chassis.  T K Thompson is the car owner.

Robert started racing in 1997 in the Soap Box Derby Class at Derby Downs because his Dad raced and it's in Robert's blood.  His first win was that same year.  Career highlights include All American Soap Box Derby Champion in '98, West Texas Mesquite Go Cart Track Champion in '99 and '00, Abilene Speedway Jr. Mini Stock Champion in '01 and '02, Abilene Speedway Jr. Mini Modified 2nd place in '03 and '04, '05 and '06 NASCAR Tech Inst student, '08 Southern Sport Mod Rookie.

The thrill of racing for Robert is the competition.  His most exciting racing moment was Soap Box Derby Championship and Jr. Mini Stock Championship.  He's most proud of 2008 season and racing with his Dad.

Robert's racing hero is his Dad.
