 Olen Youngblood

Olen Youngblood drives the #1Y Limited Modified Class car.  His home track is 105 Speedway but he can also be found racing at Speedarama Raceway and Gator Motorplex.  He lives in Spring, TX.

Team members helping Olen are:  Sebastian Youngblood - son, Sharayah Youngblood - daughter, Sayge Youngblood - son .

Olen started racing in 2000 in the GT Asphalt Class at South America Circuit because he'd been around all forms of racing since the age of 9.  Career highlights include when he started Asphalt in the GT Classes and finished 3rd, 4th or 5th, racing in the foot hills of Jamaica and in Barbados.  Olen had the honor of racing in many races, side by side with is Father-In-Law who was the 1969 GT Champion.

The thrill of racing for Olen is being alone in that seat behind the wheel at a high rate of speed.  His most exciting racing moment was starting out last in a back up car, going down the front straight wide open and passing 10 cars for 3rd in a half of one lap.  He's most proud that he's finished building his Limited Modified car, by himself, over the last 4 years.  Villareal did the frame and roll cage, one of the last cars he put out.

Olen's racing hero is Dale Earnhardt Sr.

Of racing, Olen says, "Racing is not just a sport, it is a desire in life that is a must that most are born with.  Never look back, keep going forward and be positive even in your worst hour!".
