He started racing in 1997 Open wheel at Barren County, 1930 Go-Karts. His Dad and Uncle both race. His first win was in  1998 Open Wheel Class at Barren County. Career highlights include, 2 time Kentucky State Go Kart Champion, 23 wins at Barren County Speedway, 2 Battle of the Bluegrass wins 2004, Morgantown and 201 Speedway.

The thrill of racing for  Jimmy is winning. He is most proud of  his Kentucky State Go Kart Title. His most exciting racing moment was last week at 201 when he ran out of gas on the last lap but made it to the finish and won.

Jimmy's racing hero is Mark Martin.
