Anthony began racing in 2000 in the Hornet Class after watching his father, Cecil, race and decided to try it out.

The thrill of racing for Anthony is the adrenaline rush that is unique to racing. His most exhilarating racing moment was the first night he raced. He is most proud of being a fair driver.

Anthony's racing heroes are his father, Cecil Ashby, and Jeff Burton.
