Kenny Baker Jr.
Kenny Baker Jr. drives the #37 Bomber
Class car. His home track is Thunder Valley Raceway but he can
also be found racing at Brownstown Speedway, Scott County Speedway and
Osgood. He lives in Austin, IN.
Team members helping Kenny are:
Mom, Dad, Travis Blackburn, Jason Hehman, Josh Wells, Greg Hammons.
Kenny started racing in 1991 in the
Enduro Class at Scott County Speedway because he'd been around racing
all of his life. His first win was in 1991 in the Go Kart Class at
North Vernon. Career highlights include finishing in the top 10 in
all 15 races in the Indiana Enduro Series and finishing in the top 5 in
the Points at Thunder Valley Raceway.
His most exciting racing moment was
driving the WMPI We Care Car in the World Championship Enduro in
Scottsburg in 1999. It was nice to get to help the kids in the
community. He's most proud of making a lot of friends and
hopefully not a lot of enemies.
Kenny's racing hero is Scott Bloomquist.
Of racing, Kenny says, "To young drivers
- Go at it whole heartedly but keep priorities in order!".
