Budman Russell

Budman Russell drives the #55 Extreme 8 Class car.  His home track is Sportsdrome Speedway.  He lives in Brooks, KY.

Team members helping Budman are:  Danny "Spook", Bill Bellha, Bill Russell - Dad, Billy, Smokey, Dennis.

Budman started racing in 1995 in the Rookie Figure 8 Class at Louisville Speedway because his wife said he could.  His first win was in 1997 in the Figure 8 Class at Kentucky Motor Speedway.  Career highlights include Kentucky Motor Speedway Championship in 2000, Louisville Speedway 2nd place finish, #3 & #5 in World 300 Race in 1998, '99 and 2000, Clarksville Sportsdrome Speedway multiple times finishing in the top 5, Louisville Speedway finished in the top 5 in the Championship Rookie year.

The thrill of racing for Budman is the rush.  His most exciting racing moment was getting hit in the intersection twice in one race.  He's most proud of his wife's attitude first and winning 2000 Championship, second, at Kentucky Motor Speedway.

Budman thinks all racers are heroes.

Of racing, Budman says, "It's a thrill of a ride, there's much more to racing than just racing every weekend - it takes a lot of hours to prepare!".
